Updates for Students

Main Gym -

 

The main gym will be closed in the mornings until 7:50am.  This is to allow an opportunity to have supervision.

For 9th Grade -
 

Freshmen - Check out the GEAR UP College of the Week bulletin board in the 9th grade Academy! This week's featured college is North Carolina State. There will be a trivia question on Thursday's announcements based on the info on this bulletin board. Answer correctly and you will win a prize!

National Digital Learning Day -

National Digital Learning Day is Friday, March 13. We will have opportunities for you to participate in exciting activities during ALL lunches.  Bring you Chromebook or device to play in our gameshow for prizes and/or visit a station to participate in digital themed activities and be entered in drawings for cool Chrome gear and gift cards.

Students who took or are taking AP classes -

Students who took an AP class last semester and those that are currently taking an AP class - If you are planning on taking an AP Exam in May, the final deadline to turn in your AP Testing Release Form is Wed. March 11th!  If you are planning to take an AP Exam, I need your form ASAP!!!

If you do not have a form or if you are unsure if you have turned one in, please come by the Student Services Office.

Blood Drive -

The American Red Cross Blood Drive in March 11.  Students must be 17, have a photo ID and meet height and weight requirements.  Sign up in the school store during all four lunches.

Titan Takedown -

Titan Takedown will begin practices today 3:15 to 4:30 in the mat room

Public Displays of Affection -

While high school clearly offers a social element, public displays of affection between students have no place during school hours. Public displays of affection will be limited to holding hands.

Consequences

• 1st Offense: Referral to administrator who will conference with student.
• 2nd Offense: 1 Day ISD
• 3rd Offense: 2 Days ISD
• 4th Offense: 3 Days ISD
• Additional infractions: OSS
