"Career to College Promise" Meeting Night -

FREE college credit! FREE textbooks! FREE transportation!

Are you interested in receiving FREE college credit while still in high school? Career and College Promise allows 11th and 12th grade students to take college courses during the day, evening, or online. McDowell High School will be hosting a Career and College Promise information night on Thursday, February 19th at 6pm in the cafeteria. All interested parents and students should attend.

NJROTC meeting during Titan Connect this morning for Rising Seniors -

A meeting for all juniors taking NJROTC next year during Titan Connect (in the NJROTC classroom.)  We need to go over what classes the seniors take.

External Speakers -

Due to disruptions in the school day, safety on the school buses, and disruptions during sporting events, all external speakers for devices are banned from campus.  This includes Boom Boxes, Bluetooths, and wired auxiliary speakers.  While personal headphones are allowed, they should not be played loud enough to be heard by those around. 

Speakers will be collected on sight for parent pick up.  It does not matter if they are on or not; they are banned from campus.

I have a "Crush" on you -

The Relay for Life club is sponsoring the "I have a Crush on you" fundraiser next week, Feb. 9th - 13th.  For $1 a Crush soda along with a personalized message will be delivered to your Valentine during 4th period on Friday the 13th.  These can be purchased during all lunches next week Monday - Thursday.  All money raised goes to the American Cancer Society.

 

FBLA -

FBLA Meetings are still being held on Wednesdays at 7:45 in Mrs. Allison's room! Please remember to come!!

 

DECA -

DECA Meetings are held on Thursdays at 7:45 in Mrs. Hutchins' room! Please remember to come, especially if you want to attend Conferences and other activities!!

 

Spring Pictures -

Spring pictures will be taken at McDowell High on Tuesday, Feb. 10.  Order forms will be distributed in Titan Connect. If you would like to have your pictures taken, please bring your money and completed order form with you when you. Spring Pictures are prepay only. You must have money in order to be photographed.

 

9th-11th Titan Connect students -

Check email and students should be completing their registration cards for next year. Turn these in today if possible    

12th Grade Titan Connect students -

Check out the Student Services Scholarship page online and remember that we'd like all seniors to come to the career fair on Thursday during their Titan Connect period.  We have reserved that time specifically for the seniors. 

JV Softball Tryouts -

Lady Titan Junior Varsity Softball Tryouts will begin Monday, February 16. Those trying out will need to be at the field by 3:30. You must have a current physical on file to tryout. Any questions please see Coach Gardin in the 9th grade office!

Baseball Tryouts -

Baseball Try-outs will begin February 16 after school.  You must have a current physical before you can try out.
