Christmas break has finally arrived! I know that everyone has been looking forward to this for a long time. Remember to stay safe and smart over the holidays, and dare I say, try to fit in some study time for finals are just around the corner when we return.
There was a little, old(er) woman,
Who lived in a shoe (box),
She had so many students,
She didn't know what to do.
She loved them all dearly,
The best that she could,
But knew when they left her
They may (or may not) do what they should.
So to show that she cared,
And having a sound head,
She gave them some advice,
Here's what she said...
Dear Students, when you leave me,
You're off on your own,
You'll be your own master,
With many dreams and some loans,
Don't forget what I've taught you,
Be smart, safe, and kind
The world can be a cruel place,
Keep a sound and level mind.
Let those who aren't good,
Or who are mean or unwise,
Go down their own paths,
For eventually, they too, realize...
That what you take with you,
The good and the bad,
Is going to shape you,
And leave you joyous or sad.
So, go off in the world,
Go travel and explore,
Once you've all left me,
I'm bound to get more...
More students to guide,
To love and to teach,
But I won't forget you,
You were, every one, such a peach. :)
